Frequently Asked Questions
who will my bill come from, the City or casey mutual?
Casey Mutual Telephone will be your service provider and will bill you for all services. You will NOT be billed by the City for anything related to Adair Fiber.
How is the city of adair paying for this network?
Most of the money to build the network is coming from bank loans. Approximately $140,000 is in the form of a grant as part of the State of Iowa's Broadband Grant Program. Taxes will not be used to pay back the loans, only the lease revenue from Casey Mutual Telephone.
why is fiber better than what i have now?
Fiber optics is the GOLD STANDARD for telecommunications services! Fiber connections are more reliable and capable of much greater speeds than the copper wire you have now. With your Adair Fiber connection and services from Casey Mutual Telephone, you'll have access to speeds of up to 1 Gigabit per second for both downloads and uploads, as well as digital TV and telephone.
